Who We Are
Cherie Velez, President of Liberty Consultants, has more than 25 years of management experience. Cherie has worked with several Fortune 500 companies, the United States Department of the Navy, and a variety of non-profit organizations. She holds an MBA and a dual Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Human Resource Management.
Molly Jenkins has 15 years of experience in financial and operations management, and is a Certified QuickBooks Pro-Advisor. Prior to joining Liberty Consultants, she was a business owner and recognized as Young Entrepreneur of the Year, and Outstanding Woman-Owned Business. As a young entrepreneur, her business grew from one employee to thirty-five within several years, and she also managed several leased contractors. Molly has experience with new business start-ups, non-profit, and for profit businesses.
Jamie Thomas has more than 7 years of management experience with a focus in Human Resources. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago, where she graduated magna cum laude. She is a current SHRM member and is dedicated to exceeding client expectations.
Nancy May has 25 years of financial accounting experience working with many non-profit organizations, small businesses, and a commercial mortgage REIT. She earned a Bachelor of Business of Science in Accounting degree at West Virginia University.
Nancy has gained extensive accounting experience through controller and director positions for a variety of companies and CPA firms located in the DC Metropolitan Area. She provides expertise in comprehensive accounting services, including individual, corporate, partnership, and nonprofit audits, compilations, and financial accounting.
Currently serving as President and committee member for two non-profit organizations, Nancy enjoys volunteering and giving back to the community.
Lisa Brazie has more than 15 years of business management experience in the for-profit sector. She specializes in accounting and payroll services. Lisa has provided exceptional customer service for more than 20 years, and looks forward to providing that same level of service to the clients of Liberty Consultants.
